According the Children's Defense Fund roughly 12 million children go without food at least once a week because there is none in their home and nearly 8 million suffer every day from chronic hunger. 34.5 Million people in the U.S. live below the poverty level. The poverty level for a family of four is roughly $18,000. The percentage of persons living in poverty has only increased every year of the Bush presidency.

And yet our government has spent over $2 million dollars to fund a study to determine if prayer works (it doesn't).

And we spend $2 billion dollars a month to democratize Iraq...
